Friend of a friend of a friend had to sit an exam to become a pilot and discovered a one of the possible questions he might be asked. The question has probaly been twisted by whispers but this is how it was told to me.
If there was a double layer of stratus cloud that was not caused by inversion layer's what would cause it?

Maybe the question is supposed to read stratiform layers. In which case the answer is a front.If there was a double layer of stratus cloud that was not caused by inversion layer's what would cause it?
