What amazes me is no one seems to worried that it may come toward them, or maybe they have no idea what could happen!

yes, especialy once it came shore...and then say picked up debri and started to fly that around...

The waterspout looks like it was roping out and weakening as it made landfall.

The NZWP 00Z sounding for the day shows a small area of positive CAPE 150j/kg in the lower part of the sounding. The 700mb lifted index looks to be about -3 where as the 500mb lifted index was 0.
Just add, the time/date stump on the Wyoming sounding site is up the creek. Day 14 21Z is actually day 15 00Z.
