strange you didnt make it into the negatives tim.. I got down to -2.7 this morning. very dry air though. was not like a spring frost where there is white everywhere with the increased moisture.

Your place had less wind (which is surprising due to your anemometer location), it actually dropped to 0km/hr for a bit around 5-6 AM this morning, mine pritty much remained around 5 -10 km/hr throughout the whole night.
What was Hamilton AWS's low this morning? Ill see if I can get a low from the Ruakura EWS....

I have answered my own question using cliflow.....
Hamilton AWS's Low this morning was -0.1°C and Ruakura's was -0.7°C.

I see MS's Akld, Ardmore site got down to 0.2C yesterday morn and Whenuapai 1.2C.

Ground frost here but the temp still remains around 1°C, wind started to become unsettled just when the temp was reaching its coolest.
Looks like another frost is coming tonight/tomorrow morning....

Gauge says it got down to -6 during night at some stage then a cloud layer come in and was sitting on zero at 6am.

Was a light frost this morning with -0.5 at 7am however when driving to Timaru this morning the car thermometer dropped to -4 at Albury 17km south of here.
