For the 2nd time in 3 days it is 17 degrees at 5am in Christchurch. Stiff northerly out there at the moment averaging 40km.h gusting to 50km/h at present. If we get enough sun today we may hit 20. Just continuing what has been a very dry May.

Looks like Queenstown should score a bit of snow to lake level tomorrow. Quite a nice polar trough crossing the South Island with snow from Fiordland across to Otago to 300m.
