South Taranaki/Wanganui recent severe storm

Unread post by Manukau heads obs »

HI
got a newsletter from a farm insurance company:
2.5 million $ of damage occured from that recent severe storm in the south taranaki/wangauni area!
Just about every farm sustained damage to trees/power lines/sheds/haybarns, cowsheds and fences!
It was described as the worst storm in living memory.

Did they give a date? It couldnt have been that first Antarctic cold front as weakened significantly after it left the Nelson area.
