Rain rate seems to be on the increase slightly here now. 21mm to date. Can hear some of the bigger drops on the roof.

Hows the Heathcote level? Are you located around that area of Cracroft?

The Heathcote is tidal so it will be interesting to see what the water level is around areas like Richardson Terrace :o

Disagree- radar has been intesifying for the last hour. Certainly wet now. Over an inch has fallen so far and a fair share share of that has been in the past couple of hours.

Rain has been gradually picking up as the day wore on with moderate to steady falls from mid afternoon now some heavy falls starting to mix in, 17mm so far.
Radar showing a very well defined sheltering just south of Christchurch and inland abit, but the bulk of the rain managing to sit over the city and further north as that flow is more southerly than SE.
Going to need to be very careful on those roads tomorrow lots of pot holes around many which the council keeps slapping a plaster on, 2 days later pot holes again waste of money  .

Yes radar looking very impressive over the city at the moment. Wonder how long it will hold together like that. Just about at 30mm now.

Radar filling in again over a much larger area as its circling in. Looks to be pretty much stationery now, persistent rain is looking on the cards all night long at this point. The big question is at what intensity.

Quite alot of rain today indeed, expected though, nice how that low is clearly seen wrapping around the city.
Certainly no BP sheltering affect in the city for sure, quite a few flooding places around today to and particuly some rds in halswell.
Shame this weather event didnt drag some really cold air with it to bring the snow level right down.

Must be heavier rain over the city than here, but still coming down fairly steady on 22mm so far.
