Air is really dry but still, am always keen for something if it gets going. Brief storms around midday but nothing to really get that excited about and sink your teeth into. Only heard one rumble and that was it.

Ive just got back from a few days down Alexandra and my wife told me there was thunder close by on Friday, dam and i had to be away .
On the way back today went through one heavy hail shower just south of Timaru and a snow shower near Ranfury.

Looking dark towards TC at the moment but ......

They do,the shower moving my way has a bit of red in it too.

Yes was quite good rolling thunder for a time yesterday, even seen a nice bright purple flash of lightning while we were at the chip shop

nice wee shower came over just before, and as it has gone past alot of virga coming from it or mamatus, witch ever u prefer

Got a graupelly shower @ 6:20pm with a slight burst of the SW. You could see it coming in a form of a type of virga of which term I won't explain as it's a bit rude and only suitable for adults .

good squall through here just now..gusts to 98 kmh....baro starting to rise now...temperature drop to 11C

Dark and bleak yet again towards TC but....

Wasn't that stormy, today on the 7th. Sadly the ridge got in the way.
Anyway, a good day for photosynthesisysing, here in Canterbury
