I think a cool surface southwester will spoil tomorrow while Sunday the upper air looks a bit warm, the cold system around mid next week is the one to watch for thunder on current modelling.

500mb hieghts/winds for mid week! Something to watch out for atleast.

Back to early spring like temperatures here. 9 degrees at midday with light showers and a cold Gusty Southeasterly.

Light to mod rain here since mid morning, looks like South Auckland rural will miss the rain,current 16C, dewpoint 15C.

Its been raining here in Kaukapakapa all morning and afternoon, good for the garden and nice to listen to on the tin roof!

Yeah, only 3mm here - a little disappointing. But still, with 59mm this month that makes it the wettest November in the last 3 years

Was around 11 deg. here most of the day till the rain started, now 9.3 deg. and a south-easterly.

Had some rain in Chch this afternoon, and down to a chilly 9C too.
Been up on Great Barrier Island for the past week (arrived there Fri. 23rd; back home yesterday afternoon), not one bit of rain there. Persistent southwesterly winds though - east side of island more pleasant in such conditions.

Heavy rain here now nice intense red belt going over us on the latest radars, up to 10mm so far no wind to speak of but that southerly will kick in overnight with more isolated maybe chain shower activity along the coast until midday tomorrow.

Certainly wintry this morning - can see a dusting of snow on Mt Herbert. At least the showers seem to be confined to Banks Peninsula now.

A gusty SW today to remove any moisture that came down yesterday, max around 18C
A dry November . GFS shows a Front/18C dewpoints for next Wednesday.
