We were right there in Stavely as it happened so they were possibly next to us as there was a camper there at the time. The hail was quite amazing and the rain torrential. Wasn't the biggest hail I've seen or heard of but the shear volume of it was cool.

Yes I know of that road up into Les Valley Ben but I have a feeling it's a bit slow going through there so made the call not to bother as by the time we got there things might have finished anyway, looks like they would've. The storm wasn't as intense as it went up there but yes there was some lightning flashing away.

Yes indeed it takes a bit of time before reaching Lees Valley. I've been waiting for an interesting tstorm warning over this area, I'd love to chase there and see how winds and else do change within the valley itself ... this spot has that "feel" which makes you think something fun could happen. ;)
