occured NNW of Rotorua (Humurana) same day as Hobsonville storm.

Sounds like a path well travelled.... but rain wrapped tornadoes are rarely caught on video.

Note the 180 degree change in wind direction. Awesome and intense.

There was F1 damage nearby.

Generally a storm needs to be inside 50km of the radar to detect the small scale mesocyclones we get in NZ. This storm was about 20km from the BOP radar.
