Summer thunderstorm photo competition

We did this a while back and i thought it would be good to do it again

Attach your best summer thunderstorm picture and we can have a vote at the end of the summer. No prizes, just bragging rights

There hasn't been much to take photos of this summer so far here so I'm hoping ill have something other than a pathetic Cu to submit.

Aucklands thunderstorm season is May to September. But there is an outside chance we could see a cb here before the end of summer! Will keep the camera handy just in case.

Should we say open from 1st Dec till 1st April? 4 months, gives the North Island guys a chance

OK,not quite quick enough to get one of a lightning bolt itself but this shot was one that i thought was rather a dramatic storm

As I can't photograph thunderstorms, well lightning shots within them, but, as being president and founder of the NZ Thunderstorm Society, maybe I could be one of the judges with backup comfirmation from Bob Crowder.
Bob has an amazing collection of weather related photos over the years so he should be a good judge of such.
