Brief southern blast 9th-11th May

Unread post by CWUweather »

Another wee southern blast nearing out shores tomorrow, probably not much precipitation any further north than maybe Nelson. Will be brief but cold and definitely snow on the alps and maybe the tops of Banks Peninsula. Maybe above 500-600m. What are your thoughts?

Not much of a system really just abit of brief scatterd rain between 2am- and midday on Friday possibly no more than 5-10mm, any snow is set to be above 800m i am picking.
I dont even think it will be heavy rain, not quite sure where the MS get that idea.

It could be a good snow set up if that upper trough was moving so quickly north. GFS has it heading out into the Tasman.
