24mm. Last 2 runs almost identical so we have consistency now for the event. So nothing significant really. Just expect a wet day tomorrow.

Yeah but that was based from their 3 day maps which were modified from this mornings run when totals were higher. Expect that to change when there modifications come through over the next hour or so.

Yea its a slow moving front looks like it eases up around 6am before heading slowly north. Then in behind that slow movin front seems to be a fast moving south or southwesterly which combines with the low around Wellington Region looking more likely we are in for some heavy falls. Any of you guys know how cold that southerly will be thats quickly moving up behind this front. When the southerly clashes with the low over the lower north island will this cause thunderstorms maybe snow ?

Snowing now in Mount Somers, still a little bit of rain in the mix but will put a photo if it starts settling. Progressively it seems to be just turning to snow I think with rain thinning out.

Edit: Just snow now, good flakes coming down and starting to settle.

Edit, another snow pic. Is coming down nicely, models don't show snow to this level! Heavy rain this morning has dragged down the cold air. What do you call this situation again? Something-arather cooling?

Just 5mm here. No heavy falls. Mainly light rain. Radar sure looks impressive around that area. Is the red snow echo's like we had couple of weeks ago in that first front before the polar blast?

Radar is discintigrating rapidly to the south. Few spots of rain here. I think tomorrow will be interesting for the far north of Canterbury and Malborough.
