17.2C here at 6am and that was the high but then all down hill from there with a rather dull cloudy day after that.

A bit of a SW 'wuthering' through here for the past half-hour or so, and a few spots of rain.
9.4 degrees.

Re: General July Weather
An uneventful July in the north so far and I think we could end up with below average July rainfall.
Models showing drizzle for Auckland tomorrow and a weakening front later next week!
There looks like something active in the last day or two of the month though.

Re: General July Weather
which has been a nice change from the recent wetter than usual months. I dont think i have ever seen the farm this dry during mid winter. Cows are usually tummy deep in mud this time of year. This year there is no mud at all. That just goes to show how dry the deep soil levels were after that drought. Months of higher than average rainfall (by significant ammounts too) and we are still quite dry.NZstorm wrote:An uneventful July in the north so far and I think we could end up with below average July rainfall.

Re: General July Weather
Dry July.
Auckland has had around 40mm so far for July, the July average is 145mm. The models are offering little in the way of rain for the next week with only the chance of a rain system at the end of the month.

Re: General July Weather
It may seem that is Warmer than usual for here but, according to my statistics, July this year is looking so far to be very similar to July 2012 temperature wise.
2012 had an avg temp of 9.3°C and this year 9.1°C.

Re: General July Weather
This will be a record breaking warm July for Christchurch, the 12.6C average max of 88' is going to be shattered by the time the month has ended...
