Tasman Low- Storms and Rain - 4th to 9th Nov
Very quiet in Bayview/Glenfield currently. The only fireworks are of the cheap Warehouse variety
ETA: Not raining but keep losing Sky reception.
ETA again: Now raining steadily. Sky off more than on. Never known it so bad.

Yea looks like auckland city is about to get the core of that band pass over. Looks heavy and being the nature of this system i think the rain will be heavier than the radar suggests.
Some nice discrete cells further up the northland coast sliding down. They look to be really small intense cells.... the type that could carry a tornado.

Pouring now. No Sky reception at all for the last 10 minutes. I'm missing my programme!
5 minutes later... TV is back, if a bit patchy, and now we have thunder! Not too loud but a definite rumble.

Had a great guyfawkes night (pathetic fireworks this year aside). Just finished in time before spits of rain appeared.. However nothing much has eventuated past very light sprays of moisture.

Looking unstable over Northland, has been some recent storm activity near Dargaville. Rain has eased here for now.

14.7mm of very welcome rain from that front here including 1mm from the odd shower during the day - almost as much as the entire month of Oct. Wasn't all that windy though.

20mm here and only isolated thunder last night.
Afternoon cb/thunder/hail possible for the next 3 days. Waikato looks the best spot I think. Thursday looks better than today.

Re: Tasman Low- Storms and Rain - 4th to 9th Nov
30mm here in total
Waiuku missed out,..10mm only,.the first rain band weakened by the time it reached there and then the replacement 2nd band just slid south of that area...into the waikato
so we were lucky here
our water tank needed that top up
great view of the back of the front, LOL
sure will be lots of day time heating today now

Close to 30mm here. Rain about to stop and about to have clear blue sky by the looks. Perfect day time heating conditions. I get te feeling its going to be quite sticky and humid.
