muggy as hell here too. Car was reading 29 between Auckland and Hamilton. Dew point is still rising and up around 19.0. Every time the sun comes out it cooks up really hot.

The Auckland dewpoint is over 20C, current temperature 25C. No sunshine today, some light rain around, light winds. A very muggy feel today

I couldn't find any the last time I checked. They only show an hourly %RH on the town/cities page. Using http://www.dpcalc.org/ and plugging in 25C and 69% you get a 19C dew point.

Dew point peaked at about 18C here when temp was 25C but has dropped to 16C now.

Chch Airport readings are a steady reliable dewpoint guide for the Chch area.

Yes I feared there was too much 'enthusiasm' going on there

Sun may still get into town but it won't be above early to mid 20's today by the looks

Not happening yet, still dull and cool easterly clag as at 3:20pm. Looks clear to the south west. May clear yet, but far too late in the day now for anything overly noteworthy you would think

I see Metservice have reduced their forecast max for Chch to 20C, keeping the wind direction NE.

Littleton is currently showing 29C.

The Banks Peninsula reading is actually from Cooptown between Little River and Hilltop - Port Hills is Lyttelton. They used to use Le Bons Bay for BP until August 2012...

that Banks Peninsula weather station is a loooooooong way from Lyttelton! Perhaps you mean Little River?

We have made it to 19.7 in town so far today. Coldest in NZ, I think the fog just wouldn't let go til around 4pm, too late for any significant heating here
