Torrential downpour with thunder in Howick, 3mm in the last 5 mins.

Can still hear thunder rumbling away to the SE. Quite loud and regular. What a lovely sound :)

CB east of Papakura is now venting itself with deep rumbles and heavy rain visible, very impressive with the sun shining at my location.

Unstable skies today with some heavy showers at my place around the middle of the day. No thunder at my place. Isolated storms showing up east and southeast of here, nice looking Cb out to the east now.

Sorry for the station being down folks, communication problems between the station and the PC.Fixed now, the cable between the data logger and pc went bad.
Davis NZ on this occasion being very very nice giving me new cable and attachments for free.

Shower to the north of Raglan has got some Lightning in it, very cool, illuminates the whole CB :)

Will probably get some more heavy showers and possible storms coming in off the coast overnight.

Some very distant lightning in the cloud tops can be seen out to the southwest of Ak and noticed some out to the east earlier in the evening, the storms all heading away from here

Nice close to the Car CG in Waihi yesterday afternoon. Probably about 3.30pm I thought it was just a passing shower so it came as a bit of a surprise. Was the only bolt observed, but there was a bit of thunder.
