More snow fell in the North Island than Canterbury,apart from 3 or 4 clouds it was a non event around these parts.

had snowfall down to 400meters around taupo/mangakino area lasted until around lunchtime with the more amounts hanging around another day above 600meters near whakamaru

these hard frosts at around-5 last few nights have really brought soil temps down enough that it remains frozen below a cm or two of soil...which helps any snowfall event now so it seems

Couldn't see any snow on Mt Tarawera from the gondola timelapse webcam that day, so must've missed out on the moisture.
