i read this and completely disagree because Auckland 1872 obviously bears no resemblance to Auckland Heat Generating Megatropilis 2024

Niwa Climate expert, Jim Salinger, says today’s high was the highest since their records began and equals a high recorded in the Auckland Domain 137 years ago, in 1872.
During the 3pm hour the temperature at the official weather station at Whenuapai Airbase reached 32.4 – the hottest ever recorded there.

Totally agree, the 1872 recording would have been much higher if there was at that time the same amount of urban heat sink influence as currently. The climate change cultists will be relishing this news.

Hmm... are you a real person or was this written by AI?

The 32.4C at Whenuapai Aero was recorded on Feb 12 in 2009... didn't get anywhere near that today.

The " heat island " senerio would not apply in whenuapai anyway noting the wind direction today ie passing over rural land rather than conrete/ carbon based gasses. Just another pointless argument guys

I dont think AI would spell megatropolis that way , tho I take it as a compliment , funny how superfluous Whenuapai is raised by a imminent scientist and backed by syncophants , its a fake reality because both locations are obvuiously totally heat islands , 2 huge tarmac runways/taxiways , large hangars and again a lot of urban assets and activity - I just wonder who is living in the real world or some selective mathematical algorythim [-X true science is a bit more complicated than justyfing fake theory , sorry for that

The brainwashing never stops : ....Wikipedia the mother of AI ...."Climate change is not the cause of urban heat islands ( UHI ) but it is causing more frequent and more intense heat waves ( IHW ) which in turn amplify the urban heat island effect in cities".... that means before CC was politicised Auckland 1872 suffered a IHW and that CC now amplifies a UHI in 2024 - thats subtle propaganda. Using data from any UHI is totally misleading - a lie.
Using and promoting this kind of evidence you are a complete liar.

another thing that worries me about NIWA is they hide data , just as they "own" the science and then go about fearmongering like this without being able to be fact checked , behaviour to be despised

climate/rainfall records for the last 150yrs do not belong to NIWA

Yes not in the general weather thread. If Maxis wishes to voice his options it does need its own thread. But if he/she can back up with evidence to what has been stated its clearly a fact and not non-sense.

If false information is promoted in a general weather thread it should be deleted , delete my challenge to do that if you like. The climate is definitely not trending as predicted for the last 30 years - and continues to be the case despite what so called experts say. Going to your grave spouting the same mantra year after year , and the same UHI data is madness. Meanwhile the current General January Weather is bringing later harvests for summer fruit because of cooler nights thought NZ and even snow to low levels at New Year in the south Island. Climate Change is cooking the books and your minds.

In this presentation it proves that much of the data used by the IPCC is corrupted by the heat sink urbanization effect
