It's nice to finally have consecutive days above 20C. Although the wind is starting to get annoying. Have only had 1 non windy warm sunny day here so far this month

very typical of El Nino pattern for the east coast of both islands (and the top of the SI) to get dry During November and into summer
with the prevailing SW winds

Fantastic light show happening here at present.. some fairly close CG's & Intra-Cloud stuff.. not really a lot in the way of rainfall but it is certainly making up for it with the noise factor! :D

Agreed, did you deal with Tas as well? He was very helpful. He sent my new fan to me before I'd even deposited the money into their account! Very fast deliveries as well - they seem to use overnight courier (without adding extra costs onto your invoice)

Much cooler here today, only 16 degrees at the moment, 3mm of mostly light rain this morning.

6.00 pm and the Wellington radar looks amazing with a low forming as it moves onto the bottom of the NI

A little bit of a pattern change coming up from next week with the westerlies retreating a bit further south, should be less of the west/ southwest flows. More northerlies would be good, too much cold air finds its way to NZ.

Seriously chilly day here. Haven't even cracked 10 degrees. Had a couple big rumbles of thunder before and some hail the last 15 mins. Nothing at all on the radar though?

Would the radars "see" the area in and around Dunedin well, if at all? Its a bit rough that old dune misses out but money money money I spose.
The SW has picked up and its overcast now after a nice morning.

Third big hail shower this arvo with very loud intracloud thunder overhead again. Very heavy hail but really quick moving showers. I only really see the radar working over Dunedin if there is a big thunderstorm or widespread rain. Looks like this weather will keep up til tomorrow.

Lovely day to end the month over here.. some rain earlier this morning but the sun is out blazing away now & the sound of the speedway drowning out everything else.
Been a very spring type month over here alright, mostly cloudy with the odd fine day thrown in, more than enough rain, hail, minor flooding but many thunderdays.. almost as many this month as there has been in the entire year so far. Roll on December..

Just had a report in, that several waterspouts were observed off the head of Akaroa Harbour, possibly from this cloud around that time. :|

Did look to have had a hook at one stage looking at the radar.

Finally the NW wind had stopped, now a light E,hoping the rain to the south moves north ,still sunny at the moment though.
