Wow, almost 27 degrees at 10.45am, crazy! Heaps of cloud today though unfortunately, might have reached 30C if it had been mainly clear...

Light showers started across northern parts of Papakura. Towering cumulus visible to the south.

South of you Tornado Tim might be the most likely area for a storm.

Towering Cu/isolated showers here. Warm 26C, dp 17C.

I'm sitting at maramarua SH2 and there is development in all directions. Looks a decent shower towards Te Kauwhata.

Brought the washing in an hour ago due to incoming showers on the radar... but they fizzled out before they got here! :rolleyes:

This is my view in Taupiri of the cell at karipiro. Looks a good cell from here.

Sea-Breeze has come in Raglan, this will be interesting now.... I thought the Easterly would be too strong....

6mm total from the 2nd shower line
had a fresh easterly outflow with that one...now back to light sea breeze and temperature warming up again
gota love it :)

A heavy shower crossed Auckland mid afternoon with 5mm in places. I missed it here in Grey Lynn.

Plenty of lightning late afternoon over the central NI/Waitomo according to tracker.

Only 3.5mm total here, from two heavy showers. Was hoping for a bit more.

Saw on MetService site that New Plymouth had about 36mm within the last few hours.

Just a few brief little showers here this arvo, which only amounted to 0.2mm. :(

Oh, and for the record, Greymouth Aero's T-max yesterday was 22.6C and Hokitika Aero's 22.2C.

Everyone in Greymouth talking about yesterdays max. I have spent a lot of time today trying to put things right in various shops I have visited. Actually my own station got 34C today but it is a tad sheltered if no wind is blowing !
