I have also had this problem over the past week or so. Usually after a few minutes I refresh and it works.

No problems here but the forecasts for Canterbury have been rubbish.
Just say fine for the week ahead, with some cloud at times.
The SW changes are useless at the moment. No rain will fall under the weather conditions at the moment. [-X
...but I suppose they have to give some optimism to the farmers :-k

Hi all. I'd be interested to know how many of my Weather Forum colleagues have already got their weather stations onto the WOW system - and so onto our new Your Weather pages? Numbers have exploded since we launched and we're getting good media interest, so if you would be prepared to talk to a reporter about your experiences setting up a weather station and why you like keeping track of the weather, then do get in contact :)

Cheers and have a great week!

Today's forecast for Ashburton includes something I've never seen before: " Cloudy, showers all but clearing..."

So, I guess it'll be fine if it doesn't rain?

I can get the main page for Metservice but when I go to my town page, it won't load the details or pictures. Refreshing doesn't work. Any tips anyone?

Hmm, odd. Which browser are you using? I take it clearing the cache (Ctrl F5) isn't working either?

Wayhay! I didn't know about clearing the cache. I also did a clean and removed recently typed URLs and started over again. Now it works. Thanks!! :-)

Whatever's gone wrong with the Canterbury Rain Radar in the past hour or so? First it wouldn't run through the hour's images, and now it won't load at all... Just when it might have been interesting :-k

MS also had Ardmore Aero apparently recording gusts to 107 km/h late on Tuesday night :-s … obviously an error as there was no accompanying temp-reading for that hour.

And yes, their website has been extremely slow loading since at least yesterday.

Update:

So much for a brief outage, it's been down for hours.

Metvuw has also been extremely slow since around 10am

That graphic above (rogue post) is for Saturday, nothing to do with today's rain. Its an error if you watch the sequence

The 120km rain radar for Canterbury seems to have been offline all day (16 March) today... :(
I hope it comes back soon as its such a handy resource to have.

Edit: Finally back :)

Still no back up, maybe now it is abandoned as not really necessary.
Other radars don't have the 120kn option.
Also, why to 'updated' forecasts have the same wording as in previous forecasts?
Must be laziness on their behalf? :banghead:
