Well its the time of year again,March is normally the first month when the frosts arrive which it did yesterday morning with a bit of visible frost on the long grass and car roof,temp got to 1.8deg.

Yes - my Westerfield Spy reported ice on car windscreen very early yesterday morning.

We also had our first frosts of 2015 this week. Very minor ones with mins recorded of 0.5°C yesterday and 0.3°C today. Enough to ice up the cars and make my morning run a bit chilly at 5am!

No frost here but it was frost temperature overnight as the temperature got down to zero.

Frost here this morning with icing on the decking.
Minimum was minus 0.3C.

Yes expecting the first decent one in the morning and the next few mornings following. Does anywhere in the Canterbury plains get hoar frosts?

No, im guessing you mean a Rime frost like they get in Central South island? We don't get frost on frost really on the Canterbury plans.

Scargill does get a weak Rime frost the odd time but nothing like Central Otago.
Its clouded over here,so maybe no frost after all.

Only got down to 2.6C overnight here but first frost I've seen on the grass this year and a good coating of ice on cars this morning.

A good frost this morning with it down to minus 3.7C.
