4th in a row here and each day has got progressively colder. No station ATM but I would think -3 today. Also have thick thick fog so it's not pleasant at all

No fog here this morning and warmer than yesterday on -4.2deg, noticed a few puffs of warm air so the northerly wind is not far away from blowing

Re: Frosts 2015
-1.7deg. air temp. at the moment, and the lawn is very white.
(I enjoyed the couple of days earlier this week without frost!)

Having trouble getting onto the internet, need a stronger ADSL link, possibly?
Good frost on Friday morning with it getting down to minus 3.3C but this morning it was only down to minus0.9C.

Send Karen off TVNZ an email tonight informing her that Culverden temperatures should not feature on TVNZ weather as it was tonight, i sent her a link to the thread in which we discussed screen height.

Good to hear. Jim use to reply to emails but haven't emailed since he left. You probably need to tell MS though, as they are the ones who supply TVNZ.Richard wrote:Send Karen off TVNZ an email tonight informing her that Culverden temperatures should not feature on TVNZ weather as it was tonight, i sent her a link to the thread in which we discussed screen height.

Re: Frosts 2015
Karen did reply back too
Ive had discussions with Steve Knowles who's network operations manager for the MetService, he did acknowledge that there were short comings with not only Culverden but other 'full in stations' as they are called. Tony and myself recently asked that the Hurunui Council fund install and an additional sensor, the reasoning being that any potential horticulture investment could be put at risk because of the incorrect data that the Culverden station is currently providing, though it would have lass effect for the agriculture sector.
Oh and -4.2 this morning
