Cold rain here, with strong SW. No sleet or hail yet, despite the very low temperature.

I'd say it's on its way out now, just sleeting and all the snow has melted away

Had some sleet and brief wet flakes not long ago before heavy hail has turned everything white, mix of tiny to pea sized stones.
Abit of thunder just now must be from what just happened here its all go

thunder and lightning near Lincoln now, heard one big bang and seen two flashes, followed by more thunder.
Its near the hills heading towards the city.

Snow just making it to sea level here on the otago pennisula at sea level, not settling and very wet mixed with sleet and hail. Will be a fair bit on the hills though as I had around 10mm since around 7pm last night. Temp hovering around the 2-3C all night.

Re: Potential low level snow Mon 13th April
The last hour of heavy showers has turned everything white where we are at approx. 50 asl in Dunedin and coming down thick and fast at the moment. Trucks are backed up waiting to crawl over the northern motorway, cant see where its been officially closed but they aren't attempting it yet.
