Best t-storm we've had here for a while. Getting lots of loud crackles now and the rumbles have been continuous for most of the afternoon. Up to 9mm now.

Nice photo! Just heard a distant rumble here, not sure what direction it came from though. Not even 1mm of rain today unfortunately.

I went for a drive over to east Auckland as well (Clevedon). Some nice CG's. The warm day increased the instability.

Ak dewpoint temperature is around 2C this morning compared to 18C a few days back.
Missed out on the rain here yesterday.

Great photos there guys. 5.9C here this morn.
I see 3 nearby Waiheke PWS's recorded between 11mm and 13mm from mid-arvo yesterday, compared to my manual gauge's 9mm.
Whangaparaoa also the wettest on MS's town/city list with 12mm yesterday evening. Auckland also topped their the warmest list with 22C at Ardmore Aero, followed by Whangaparaoa, Whenuapai, Whangarei Aero, Kerikeri Aero and Akld Aero respectively.

It was abit unstable yesterday morning with those heavy showers and small hail coming through, a customer said there had been a heavy hail shower up in Oxford with some thunder about mid morning.
The timing of these systems and ingrediants are not quite coming together as yet, but who knows what the next few months hold .

Monday is starting to look interesting for the upper half of the North Island. Warm moist air surface ahead of a very slowly approaching front. A jet starts to move on as well so some areas should see strong upper divergence.
