Got to -4.4°C here just before 8am, which is the coldest I've recorded this winter.

The easterly was quite fresh at times overnight keeping us above zero in Cracroft, surprisingly just a handful of kms west it was -5 degrees at 6am. 5 degrees to the positive of zero at New Brighton for their minimum

Frost this morning like yesterdays but not as cold, only minus 2.3C.
Similar day to yesterday, with a cloudless blue-dome day except for some NE cloud, this morning.

I wonder if they've made a mistake forecasting -5C tonight with a good NE and currently 6C at the airport :-k

Was -2,6 at 12.00am then the NW wind sprung up, then sat around the +8deg mark for the rest of the night

Not down to the minus 5C forecasted for Christchurch city, well here overnight. Only down to minus 1.5C.

+0.1 at present but grass and rooves etc quite white with frost.

Yes, although I couldn't say when. Was still foggy last night at 10pm.

Frosts every day of the week this week down in Horopito (north of Ohakune) with Friday morning being the thickest.
