Positive pressure ventilation impact

Hi guys

I'm having a ventilation system installed today. What impact will this have on my consol that reads the air pressure? Because the house will be a higher pressure than the outside. Will it be enough to impact the pressure reading?

Thanks

Test the console unit inside and outside and see if there is any difference, If there is, it should be pretty constant I would think, unless you keep opening and closing doors.

I had no problem with air pressure changes when one was put in, ultimately most houses arnt airtight unless you are living in what you call a "Passive house" where there is an full air lock and air cant escape at all untill you open a door or window.

There are small gaps under the main roofline which air will get into your roof cavity and then down into your main living areas via the unit, so there should be no obvious change.

So unless your home is one of those quite expensive "passive houses" then I would say you have nothing to worry about. But by all means feel free to test a theory to see if there is a pressure change, I would somehow doubt if there is a change it would warrant recalibrating the barometer.

Living with mould might be organic but it is certainly not healthy
