Surprisingly this cold spell has now passed without producing even a moderate frost here. My own setup has not got below -1 since the -2.0C it recorded back on May 22

Good frost here overnight, down to minus 5C.
Overcast morning with it remaining below zero for much of the morning.

Yeah thick high cloud trapping the cold, down to -3.7 here overnight and currently +1.8c

Light frost here this morning, thought it may of been lower with all that rain we had yesterday, but only down to minus 1.8C.

A light frozen rime formed on part of the roof of my car this morning when it was left outside between 8:30am and 9:30am in Tinwald.
+1.0 here in Ashburton now.

Cleared up overnight to allow a frosting morning with it getting down to minus 2.8C.

In Orewa Beach: a local mentioned frost on his car this morning. Certainly a cooler day today, sunny and blue skies.

As long as there is no wind shouldn't be to bad running around. There was a semi final in Hamilton against the hurricanes I went to that was below freezing, then the fog rolled in about 5 mins before full time.

Some 'perma' frost around today.
Down to minus 1.3 now, interesting to see what it will be like just before sun-up? 8)

Lowest so far this winter with -4.8deg, so far, might go lower yet before the sun comes up

Interesting :-k what would a under 2m gauge be reading. The Medbury gauge here is at 2m
