A fairly mild September overall, although much of the Sth Island started cooler, but ended much warmer. Well above normal rainfall around the central Nth Island and Nth Canterbury/Marlborough, with some places receiving more than double their normal rainfall. Interesting to note Mahia Peninsular's 180mm, compared to just 26mm and 22mm further down at Napier and Hastings respectively.

Here's NIWA's preliminary, 'September 2017 National Climate Summary'.

I thought it would be, so as far as I'm, concerned, I will give the maximum to Hastings on the 25th. :D
