Gale force or very near in Amberley, chairs and things getting blown about, some small limbs off trees.

Re: General November Weather
Looks and feels like a typical Southery day here, cool, dry and bright. But the wind is true North. Air from near the Chathams arriving as a Northerly.

Re: General November Weather
Metservice saying rain for Sat upper North but their own maps showing it staying offshore. Hope those models are right as going to be sitting uncovered at the rugby league.

Re: General November Weather
Yes, still not sure if it will be wet or not here tomorrow... Metservice seems to think so, GFS is showing a little rain also. Forecast high of only 15 would be the coldest November day in my weather station's records (which span the last 8 years).

Re: General November Weather
EC just downgraded the rain for Auckland and upper north for tomorrow having it miss to the east. Maybe a few mm's and windy.... Eastern side of the Bay of Plenty looks the wettest but it is a wobbling sub tropical low, so a last minute wobble west is still an outside chance.

Re: General November Weather
With the rain backing off Saturday it may not be so cold. If we get sunny breaks then 17-18C possible.

Re: General November Weather
A bright week next week, GFS is pointing to plenty of sunshine next week. There will be some cloudiness caused by sea breeze convergence.

Re: General November Weather
Summer has definitely arrived for parts of NZ, particularly inland Southland to Tekapo. Mid 20's temps forecast for this week. Odd though that there was snow last week and the week before saw temps up to 30C.
Auckland gets to enjoy some sunshine after a record cloudy October.

Re: General November Weather
Looking like the risk of isolated thunderstorms over upper NI tomorrow. Depends on the movement of 500mb vortex and how much moisture can eventuate.
Clear skies over Auckland this morning.
