A couple of weak Cb forms to the SW of here and one up the Rangitata Gorge area, at the moment. :smile:

At Bombay currently, I have heard the odd rumble of thunder from the cells generating north of Pukekoe

South Island storms have been short lived. This cb has only just popped up to the west.

The one around the Rangitata Gorge area seems to the most persistent for the day. Will post pictures later.
Still getting weak sferics from it although precipitation from it dosen't seem to register on the Rakaia rain radar. :-k
The last photo you posted looks similar to it.

Unfortunately I didn't chase yesterday, but I did enjoy watching a good show, we had one locally. but it looked spectacular up in the Mamakus in the evening prior. Have some lightning on dashcam driving home post my evening err meeting ;)

Some late starting convergence happening now. Northern Waikato had a new line and it’s moving into south Auckland. Sea breeze kicked in here bang on 9pm so very late.
