WOW now 142.5km/h with an average of 121.7km/h. Thats all well above Brians previous records.

Brian just told me his wind turbine has broken.

Thats crazy. Wish this was happening during the day as i would have gone to the lighthouse. Even Brian has just has a 83knot gust now (153.6km/h)

Yes thats the right data. Hes talking to me on Facebook and saying its very noisy. That's crazy wind.

I sense I will need to go visit all the farmers tomorrow if the damage is as bad as the wind has been up there. (its my job to help ensure they are all sorted)

Saw a power flash from here looking west. Strong gusts here but nothing too rare yet.

Nice and calm and near to a frost here in Geraldine.

Chch and North Canterbury coastline on for a moderate storm risk all day tomorrow now, with the afternoon risk going all the way up to Gisborne.
