Has been interesting weather, very warm start to the day then the dusty SW wind change came through and cooled down. Tuesday there was some elevated lighting which i missed then today there was a small intense downpour where we were down on the Sorrento coast.

Weather there at the moment sounds more interetesing than when we were over there last November.
It was hot when we arrived but then it was like Dunedin temperatures from then on. 8-o

There were some interesting temperature and humidity changes on 12th April at Melbourne Airport. The graph below shows the hourly figures for this site on this day. The temperature rose from 15*C at midnight to 29*C at 5am, which is still a couple of hours before sunrise, so this must have made it an uncomfortable night for some - although there was a big drop in RH to 15% at 5am. The temperature then falls generally through the morning to 21*C by noon, before rising to 28*C by mid-afternoon, which is also coupled to another big fall in humidity. It then cools quite quickly in the evening to just 11*C at midnight.

Sunrise was at approx. 06:45 and sunset 18:00 on this day.

Because of the difference in time zones i found myself getting up about 4.00 EST and sitting out on the balcony watching the city come to life, it felt warm that morning but didn't feel anywhere 29 deg, it was windy and felt like a Canterbury NWester.
