Heavy rain for Auckland and Great Barrier Island.
Please note: Upgraded Watch for Auckland to a Warning and extended to cover the whole region. Also extended Watch for Gisborne to cover the whole region.
Fronts associated with a low over the Tasman Sea are forecast to move slowly southwards over the North Island today and overnight Monday bringing periods of heavy rain with thunderstorms and localised downpours to the northern and eastern regions. The heaviest rain is expected in Auckland and Great Barrier Island until Tuesday morning and a Warning is in force.
Heavy Rain Warning
Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
Area: Auckland and Great Barrier Island
Valid: 16 hours from 4:00pm Monday to 8:00am Tuesday
Forecast: Periods of heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms. Rainfall accumulations expected to reach 60 to 90mm in a 9-15 hour period this evening and tomorrow morning. Peak intensities of 20 to 30mm per hour possible in some places with or without thunderstorms.
Changes: Watch upgraded to a Warning and extended to cover all of Auckland.

Similar here. An extra 16mm overnight brings the total to 106mm.

80mm since Sunday morning here. Baro bottomed at 993.1 hPa last night. Low now exiting off the NI. It's colder less wet cousin looks like arriving tomorrow evening in the Upper NI. Broadly speaking, rainfall totals in the upper NI were about double to what models were projecting on June 1st.

Our local Gulf News reports that MS's nearby gauge in Oneroa recorded 80mm on Sunday, 45mm of which fell in the 2 hours from 11am to 1pm. Another 37.5mm fell on Monday (total 117.5mm).
