GFS showing the set up well south of Auckland for the rest of the day Sandy.

The coldest upper air comes across Auckland tomorrow morning with lightning/hail possible but I don't expect severe weather with this colder air mass.

Thanks for the info. To be perfectly honest, I was more looking forward to a day indoors anyhow :)

Just heard distant thunder just before in Tawa, Wellington. Looks like rain is approaching on the radar.
