Overcast and occasional drizzle here...unless it ramps up soon it will be another non event
Same here. The heavy rain was supposed to start from 3pm. 4.5mm from overnight rain.
Yeah only 4mm here, rain has got heavier in the last 30mins though.
Looks like a reasonably fine day at Tekapo on the webcam with no sign of any low level snow.

Reports of some very heavy rain/ flooding in Chch eastern suburbs. I'd imagine Banks Peninsula is copping it too looking at the radar

So to all the media who say mini tornadoes well here is a mini cyclone!
P.S. There is no mini *weather thing* but this looks cool the only other similar low I've seen like this is the remains of ex fehi that moved from the top of the south island then onto the upper north island.

I drove through New Brighton at 7pm and 9:30pm, it was worse earlier on but really just a bit of surface flooding along New Brighton Road. Some very heavy bursts of rain, then easing to nothing.

Equinoctial gales starting to fire up across Auckland. Multiple PWS 100 km/h + gusts on the west coast. 88 km/h gust on the North Shore not long ago.
