There might be a couple factors involved this year, including our own little microclimates :smile:

1.You have had much higher rainfall.
2. Not sure how close to the water you are, I'm only 200 metres from the water and the sea surface temperatures were significantly higher in the first half of the year with that marine heat. This assisted milder overnight lows for the first 7 months for my station.

That proximity to water probably makes a difference for overnight lows especially. I'm 2km from the nearest coastline.

October 2018 was a variable, but generally mild month becoming unsettled towards the end…

94.7mm for the month here, much more than the RPA site at Levels by 40.9mm.
