Heaps of moisture aloft moving into Auckland, especially into the gulf and east coast areas on the 12.20pm water vapour image. Someone at MS should be screen grabbing each frame on the high resolution radar and posting it on social media. They seem to have no back up plan on a mesoscale level.

Had 13mm in that cell. Had a instant flash and bang at 12.52pm. Caught it well on my seismograph monitor

That's pretty cool. This one wasn't as heavy over in Howick. But still, up to 26mm for the day. Thought the worst of the weather was meant to be in the morning

An "Evil" squally storm coming through Hamilton CBD right now. If even have seen prime rain wrapped tornado type weather here, this is it.

Impressive radar over Waikato currently. Either a giant hook or a low centre. Most likely a low centre tho I would think.
