No, not close enough to qualify as a drought breaker, great rain maker though 26mm, Waiau which would have had the storms pass close by there are up to 46mm.

Looks like another epic week of NW rain for the west coast coming up...those numbers might get a nudge at this rate, month isn't even half done

Yep, MS have a moderate risk out with a note that it may elevate where sea breezes get going. So high with maybe low risk of severe for the coast? Pure guess there.

i see that metservice has a moderate risk for many of northern towns of the north island tommorow. there is lightning in the tasmin. but i susect that will weaken brfore it gets here tommorow. even if we do get a storm in auckland i suspect it may be isolated just like the last few days?

Will keep a watch on the incoming front tomorrow morning, the front arrives around sunrise then followed by a few days of mainly fine weather here.

Looking already like it will be a warmer than normal November around NZ

Model output looks to be verifying with a crop of elevated storms possibly making northern NZ tomorrow morning. The storms are initiating around 850mb level. They will only just make it though as the front is losing its puff.

i will be keeping an eye on this front coming into auckland. still lightning active. plus metservice high risk for it.

Northland is the spot to be looking at blitzortung. Doesn't look like we'll get much out of it here
