Had a spill over shower mid-afternoon from the west.
Hope these showers stay away from the Xmas Parade this evening.
Thundery looking along the Alps with frequent sferic activity on the AM band

Very typical looking spill over storm. Might be worth going up the port hills later if it continues into the night

Cant even see anything to the south of what you guys are getting, but the storm line is moving north so who know what it might do during the night.

Raining and with constant lightning and the sound of thunder associated with the lightning.
Seen 3 forks but lots of pink cloud to cloud lightning with quite rumbly thunder and lots of dumps at the end of the thunderclap \:D/ \:D/

I see, well, I noticed on their Thunderstorm outlook, MS only have a moderate risk for thunderstorms here now in an updated forecast where it should be high as thunderstorms are occurring. :-w :-k .
Not very good Nowcasting???

I had a feeling it was going to be one of those days. December can really deliver on those spillover elevated events I remembers some real doozies in Chch one year back in the 2000s

Another nice fork, near the Mt Peel area
Interesting stationary frontal line seems to be delivering rain and thunderstorms over the Alps to here.
Just heard a nice clap of thunder whilst typing this.
I bet Tornado is getting jealous?
It's our turn this time HA HA.
