I noted smoke aloft in my NIWA obs at 0900 yesterday Sat 24th to northwest over Longwoods

hazy skies here due to the smoke. but not orangy like the 5th of jan.

Signs of that here, but it's already so hazy with the high humidity. Amazing looking around at it all.
