Probably. :-k Got up late this morning, although there was lots of condensation on the windows which we usually get in winter, but mind you we had the fire going last night.
I checked and couldn't fine any evidence of possible frost damage.

I must have been close to zero. My connection between console and station dropped out at 6. When I got it back connected at 7.45 it was 2.0

Down to 0.4C this morning. Probably a bit of frost on the ground, but got up too late to see any evidence of frosting.

After a brief wind change and whopping .8mm of rain it cleared and got down to -0.5.

Summer grasses on the other side of the farm are showing there was a frost recently. That means we did get a frost last week when I recorded at least a min of 2 on this side of the farm.

No frost here this morning but it did get down to 1.5C with traces of snow/graupel pellets still on the ground early this morning.

Frosty overnight but it rose up slightly around sunrise.
Down to minus 1.1C. Some damage on the beans but still OK.

Am I correct in thinking that frost occurrence this autumn has been thin on the ground? The lowest temperature I have seen mentioned by MetService or NIWA has been the -3.0°C reported at Mount Cook Airport on Wednesday 15th April.

There must of been frost recordings around that maybe not recorded. Don't know why as there would of been some cold night up country.
Not many frost around here in Geraldine, so far this autumn,Simon. Only evidence of whiting was on the morning of the 25th but nothing much since even though it dipped down to minus 1.1C on the 15th of April. Some of our beans showed frosting damage but when I got up around 8am, the temp was back up to 6C.

Ive been a bit slack getting frost temps up, been overwhelmed with seed sales.
There have been quite a number of very light frosts, but the heaviest was on the 24th March, -0.5deg

For my location this would be true. Only 1 air Frost so far this year (-1.4 on the 15th April) and a couple of days with ice on the roof of the car but air temp still a couple of degrees above freezing.

NIWA's Hanmer Forest site recorded -3.8C on April 15.

I also see Christchurch Aero recorded its 2nd air-frost for the year this morn. Nothing too unusual about that, but the first on March 18 (-1.3C) was its lowest March temp on record and its first March air-frost since 1990.

Note though that we're only just over half-way through autumn and we don't usually see our first real cold wintery type storms until about the last week of May (almost like clockwork :-s ).

Thanks for the frost news and updates, gentlemen. Much appreciated.

Interesting to see in these 'warm' times that a record low minimum can be set. How long is the record at Christchurch Airport? The Wikipedia pages says 1943 (so, 77 years) and that the previous record low for March was -0.2°C, so the record was well beaten.
