Looking at the Metservice's precip prediction, it looks like the steering winds could ultimately push Uesi off to the west from Monday onwards. Wouldn't be much fun for the West Coast or Fiordland though.

Yes Wembley, looks like Uesi may bounce off Fiordland and peter out over the Tasman/Southern Ocean due to the ridge strengthening to our east.

The BoM's ob at Windy point on Lord Howe now clocking over 100 km/h. TC Uesi is now officially EX-TC as it moves deeper into the Tasman graveyard :wave:

edit: For the record for Lord Howe Island, EX TC Uesi recorded multiple 154 km/h gusts this morning (14th Feb), pressure got down to 979 hPa

I see Ex TC Uesi has made the turn more to the SSE now
Its frustrating to see rain clouds not far from the NI in the Tasman sea
