Some T Cu and a Cb observed from here over South Auckland yesterday afternoon. See what the heating/ moisture does Saturday
Watching the Ak to Russell yacht race leave Ak this morning, currently very little wind, most years the yachts leave on a fresh southwest wind.

Re: General October Weather
Plenty of low level convergence over the central and eastern North Island today. Will create some afternoon thunderstorms in the last of the upper trough. Looks like an afternoon convergence shower possible for west Auckland.

But Auckland more into the upper ridge now but probably still be a convergence shower in the west this afternoon.
I will be going out west today so I will see what enventulates. Looks like another upper trough next week. So perhaps better chance for some thunderstorms across the north island next week. Perhaps Auckland too. Been enjoying looking at the unstable clouds around last few. Days.
