Hurricane Delta

Unread post by Cyclone Tracy »

Rapidly developing overnight, Hurricane Delta has been born and is likely to become a major hurricane affecting Mexico in 48 hours before moving into the Gulf of Mexico heading towards Louisiana. Global models 24 hours ago incorrectly projected the central pressure to be over 20 hPa to what it is now. Hurricane model HWRF has Delta as a strong cat 4 in the gulf in less than 4 days.

Delta is now gathering momentum after its brush with Mexico. 90 knots, 966 hPa and closing in on major status again. It likely the landfall is in the same location as Hurricane Laura's Louisiana landfall from last month. Most houses in that area only have tarps for roofs.
