Looks like this anticyclone is set to hang around for possibly towards the end of the month.
Currently it is a strong one at 1038hPa with jet streams whizzing around the top of it and under this, "ridge of High Pressure" or "High"
Hope it produces nice autumnal days instead of anticyclonic gloom, now that at 10.37pm on Saturday evening, we pass the Mabon, the autumnal equinox and spend the next 6 months when the sun shines more so in the northern hemisphere than our southern hemisphere.

Re: March Anticyclone
Certainly magnificent so far. I recall last year posting about the subcanopy in bush areas struggling and wilting due to prolonged drought.
On my hills runs this week I have observed this year is even worse. Wilting trees literally dying off

Re: March Anticyclone
Starting to weaken a bit now but leaving an impression on the eastern coast of Australia as a moist easterly flow moves onto the area from the flow over the top of it.
