There is a big building in the suburb of Kelburn in Wellington which has been there for a number of years. Professional people work in there with really updated computer model systems in place in there. With regard to to this recent system moving over Aotearoa/NZ, they did a good job, also Tony's Prediction, but on the plus side, thank goodness there wasn't extensive flooding, whatever by what their predictions were. Like Covid-19, best to be on the safe side in all scenarios. That is why they tend to over-forecast thunderstorms, maybe ? :-w

The Akaroa Harbour area seems to be have been largely unscathed by the recent storm. I think Akaroa got about 90mm, but the eastern bays must've got alot more to cause all the flooding and slips.

Just looked on news, and Akaroa got 81mm in 24 hours, with Duvauchelle getting 97mm.
