The airport similar on 6.6mm last 30 days, no rain for 3 weeks. Moist air/precipitation later in the week over the far north, possibly into Auckland?

Made first venture up that way since last winter yesterday. I see what you are talking about. The fields by the motorway at Ramarama were bone dry.

Warm day with 26.9C but not a new record, wind was NNE instead of the forecast SE. Still looks like a few opportunities in the next few days though so let's see

A mainly fine day after the clearance of cloud this morning. ENE breezes moderate for a time this afternoon.
Fine evening. Cloudy along the hills.

Hello from the other side of the Tasman!!

I work in Melbourne and have an apartment near the city but I recently bought in Ballarat which is where I spend my weekends (which are presently Thursdays and Fridays)!

Still summer here. The merest hint of leaves changing colour in Ballarat which is 3 degrees cooler and is more similar to Hamilton in respect to annual temps. Yesterday was an unpleasantly humid day in Melbourne with a high of 29.8 which ended with a few showers at night. The riverfront was packed with bogans who, judging by their shape, were mostly COVID magnets! Kind of day which just wanted to make you feel angry.

A trivia question for everyone: Does anyone know the historical latest hot day (25-plus) on record for each of the major cities in NZ: Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Chch, Dunedin, Invercargill?

Ruakura (Hamilton) is on 74 for this warm season so far, did see 91 in 2012/13 which was likely highest in all available records since 1940.

I’ve set two records in two days by the looks. 29.3 yesterday and 29.4 today. Not sure what my previous highest March temp was but for some reason I thought it was over 30.

Last nights front gave 1.9mm .Hopeless. Blew steadily all day yesterday 15 to 20 knots dried off any benefit from the rain. Have to borrow water now to get through rest of week

Picked up a very welcome 5mm earlier this morning! Doesn’t sound like much but it’s more than we’ve had the last 30 days

Your records show that your previous March record was 29.6C on 11 Mar 2013, followed by 29.3C on 01 Mar 2020. :-)
