Ominous start to the spring storm season over there. Big big wedge in Iowa a few hours ago.

March 21, 2022 - Elgin, TX - Red Truck takes a ride in a tornado and drives away - 1min.video.

Tornado outbreak throughout Central Texas and southern Oklahoma yesterday with multiple tornadoes confirmed. Today’s forecast of a regional tornado outbreak across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama seems to be a bust with the QLCS outrunning the discrete supercells ahead of the line before they could become tornadic.

Spoke too soon - Southern Louisiana and Mississippi kicking off. Crazy video of a tornado moving through New Orleans a few minutes ago.

The driver obviously must of been wearing wearing a seat belt.

Today looks like a great day for chasing photogenic supercell thunderstorms right in the heart of Tornado Alley. 2022 has produced a good chase season so far and it is still only April.

Good April usually means a death ridge through central may and comes right again June.

I watched this live. Sad to see Andover take a direct hit. There’s some spectacular footage of that tornado online from many different chasers.

Andover Fire Chief Chad Russell said 966 buildings were in the path of a destructive tornado that started in Sedgwick County and moved into Butler County. In Sedgwick County, 50 to 100 buildings were damaged. Russell said that while preliminary assessments had been done, it is unknown how many buildings were damaged in Andover.
Russell said the worst of the damage was near Harry and Andover Road. He said in some neighborhoods, homes “were completely blown away.” Eyewitness News caught a glimpse of the damage Friday night. Homes were flattened and sustained major damage.
So far, only a few injuries have been reported. In Sedgwick County, one woman suffered serious injuries while two others had minor injuries. Russell said there were no injuries so far in Butler County, but a secondary assessment would be conducted Saturday morning for a better determination.

Reed has posted 4K drone footage in Facebook. It's a really good example of a tornado (Albeit Landspout to boot) that isn't fully condensed & why you need to be looking for the tell tale signs of ground circulation.

Just read tragic news, 3 OU (Oklahoma University) Meteorology Students were killed in a car crash on I35 near the KS/OK border yesterday.

Very sad news that.

Photogenic storms yesterday, the active season continues.

Cloud 9 tours had a van rolled in a tornado...

Pretty sure I read somewhere that this is the last year Charles is running Cloud 9 Tours, retiring after this year.

Many kicking themselves for not chasing on the 2% day yesterday.
